Fall all around!!!

We have only one week until Fall Break! This week we will continue studying living and non-living by taking a closer look at food chains and life cycles.

Last week you may remember seeing information about our upcoming fall festival. First grade will be selling chances to win a grocery cart FULL of groceries. Please send in any unwanted canned goods or other non perishable grocery items (such as boxed food, paper goods, etc.) to school with your child any time this week or up until October 9th! The class who brings the most items will receive a Popcorn party!

Thanks again for your support. The money we raise at Fall Festival will be used for class trips or other activities.

Have a great week!!!

In Honor...

Today the whole school had a celebration to recognize Patriots Day, and Constitution Day as well as pay tribute to those effected by 9/11.

Our first grade friends have been learning about American Symbols the past two weeks, and boy did they learn a lot!!! Ask them about their favorite American symbol.

Enjoy your extra long weekend. No school for students Monday, September 17!

Here is a photo from the Hardin County School web page of our assembly today!

We love our Grands!!!

We had a wonderful celebration with our grandparents and other special visitors on Friday!

Check out the adorable crafts our friends made with the help of our WKU student, Miss Foote.

This week we will be completing our study of American Symbols. You are invited to join us on Friday afternoon at 1:00, as the whole school pays tribute to September 11th, as well as celebrate Constitution Day that will occur later this month.

Progress reports also went home today. Please sign these and return them to school tomorrow.

Here is to another great week!

Happy Labor Day!!!

I hope every one is enjoying their long weekend!

On Tuesday we will go to the library, so be sure to bring your library books back. Also, Mr. Foster has asked that we bring in a stuffed animal for music class on Tuesday. We will only be taking them out of our backpacks for music.

Friday is also a special day and we are planning a special treat for our Grandparents. :)

Next Friday at 1:00 there will be a patriotic program in the gymnasium at Woodland. We are practicing a special song for the program!

Enjoy your long weekend!
